Water Grabber® - Bull Dog™
Connecticut Basement Technologies is proud to introduce the revolutionary new Water Grabber – the “Bull Dog™”! The unique patent pending sump pump system represents an innovative alternative to the basement waterproofing industry.
Most of you are familiar with the old circular design that other waterproofing companies seem to be content to use. Once again, Connecticut Basement Technologies has proven that to be a leader in the business, one must continually improve old products and introduce more efficient new ones.
This circular pump liner that other waterproofing companies continue to use is simply not aesthetically pleasing and effective…Our answer to this out-of-style look and function is the “Bull Dog™”.
Your basement was built level, plumb and square – not circular. Historically, a sump pump is located on a straight wall or in a corner. Doesn’t it make sense to install a sump pump that fits snugly and attractively in your basement and emulates the building product look? – not a sump pump!
The Water Grabber® consists of a Radon Sealed polyethylene basin with a a central ejection device - a way to get the water from the basement to the outside of the home. The Water Grabber®, Sump Pump, is the heart and lungs of our system. The Water Grabber® consists of a Radon Sealed polyethylene basin with a sealed or split lid. The basin is 18" wide by 24" deep with 3/8" perforations to let the water in. We use 3/4" gravel to surround the basin to help filter the water. The pumping device is a Barnes 1/3 H.P. cast iron pump rated at 2,900 gallons per hour and will pump out 1/2" solids as well.
We normally discharge the water to the exterior lawn, approximately 10 ft. We always install our patented Freeze Stop™ Discharge Line Protector, with 360° of protection and guarantees in writing, our sump pump discharge line will never freeze. sump pump discharge line will never freeze.

COVE BASE
Each home and basement is different…and as a result CT Basement Technologies offers various Cove Base® designs that can accommodate your specific basement contour.Cove Base® is an integral part of the Water Trek Aqua Route®two-piece system. The various Cove Base® designs can hug a wall and channel water from the wall to the sub-floor Water Trek Aqua Route® system.
It can create a virtual airtight fit on most if not all foundations thus eliminating potential radon gas, sub-floor smells or insects from entering the living space. At the same time it enables water from above (on the wall) to drain into the Water Trek Aqua Route® system under the floor. The heart of any waterproofing system is the sump pump. The sump pump usually discharges the water to the outside of the home. When it gets cold, exterior discharge lines can easily freeze. The pump will continue to pump, but due to the frozen discharge line, the water could back up and cause your basement to flood.

Installed in the yard and flush with the grass on the lawn so you can mow right over it. It is colored green to match your lawn. An excellent solution to a tough problem and predicament.
Techni-Crack™
Inventing a better method to seal cracks in poured foundation walls, that would not require repair work every few years, was important to Basement Technologies, Inc. R&D Division. The resulting process and product simply work better. The primary “seal” during the process works alone, yet with the addition of the Techni-Crack™ Hydrophobic Membrane, homeowners can be assured they have a worry-free solution in place. For real problem cracks, as an added “peace of mind”, Basement Technologies, Inc. can do a polyurethane injection into the crack prior to installation of the Techni-Crack™ Hydrophobic Membrane.
Step One:
Seal the crack with a special concrete sealant. This sealant will stop the water leak. For real problem leaks, a polyurethane injection can be added to our process.Step Two:
Install the Techni-Crack™ Hydrophobic Membrane with our special hydrophobic gel on the crack and seal with our special concrete sealant.Step Three:

Installed on the inside of the bulkhead and garage doors. Designed to catch and divert water from the exterior of the bulkhead or driveway and route it to the interior sub-floor system. The design insures water will not get on the floor inside the basement or garage.
